Media Release:

Crown Resorts will take Australia’s men’s national open to new heights as the title partner of the 2025 Crown Australian Open to be played at The Royal Melbourne Golf Club from December 4–7.

The extended partnership was unveiled on Crown Oaks Day at Flemington, marking just four weeks until the return of the Crown Australian Open, featuring Grand Slam champion Rory McIlroy alongside Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee and Cameron Smith.

Already a major partner of the event since 2023, Crown has become the accommodation and entertainment venue of choice for the thousands of interstate and international visitors heading to Melbourne and its famed Sandbelt.

This year, almost 30% of ticket purchasers are travelling from interstate or overseas, underscoring the global draw of the event and Melbourne’s reputation as a must-visit golf destination.

With demand surging limited general admission tickets remain for Saturday and Sunday, while tickets are selling fast for the opening two rounds of the event on Thursday and Friday.

Hospitality Suites are completely sold out, with only a limited number of premium ticket options available such as Birdies Nest tickets remaining for Thursday, along with Ticket+, that provides exclusive access to the new Ticket + Pavilion.

Golf Australia CEO James Sutherland said there is huge anticipation ahead of the Crown Australian Open.

“This is a momentous year for the men’s Crown Australian Open and we take great pride in announcing that Crown is stepping up their partnership by taking on the title partnership of our men’s open championship.

“We are assembling one of the strongest fields in the past 20 years, headlined by Rory McIllroy, to play at Royal Melbourne, one of the world’s best golf courses.

“Rory’s commitment to play in this year’s Crown Australian Open demonstrates the significant global renown of our national open and the Melbourne Sandbelt.”

Crown Melbourne CEO Ed Domingo said the partnership reinforces Crown’s place as a leading supporter of iconic Australian sporting and cultural events.

“Crown is proud to celebrate excellence in Australian sport – we’re all about creating memorable and world-class experiences for fans, visitors and guests and the Crown Australian Open will continue this tradition.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Golf Australia to deliver an event that embodies excellence, fun and passion. We look forward to welcoming golf enthusiasts to Melbourne and showcasing the very best of Crown’s hospitality alongside world-class competition.”

Tickets for the 2025 Crown Australian Open are available now at Ticketek.com.au, with limited Golf Australia general admission tickets remaining for Saturday and Sunday. Fans are encouraged to act quickly to secure their place at what promises to be an unforgettable week of golf.

The Crown Australian Open will build on the proud legacy of the Australian Open championship – one of the oldest national titles in world golf – and continue to position the event among the leading tournaments in the Asia-Pacific region.
